Brian Tse is the Founding Director of the Center for Long Term Priorities, an independent Chinese think tank. He is also a Research Affiliate at the Governance of AI Program at University of Oxford, focusing on issues of international cooperation of advanced artificial intelligence. He has consulted the Open Philanthropy Project on their multi-million-dollar philanthropic grants in China, advised the Chinese version of the OpenAI Charter and co-authored the China specialist guide at 80,000 Hours. Prior to CLTP, Brian worked in financial technology investment banking at J.P. Morgan and a Beijing-based AI hardware startup. He has studied at Harvard University, Tsinghua University, and the University of Hong Kong. Brian was a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Community. He speaks three Chinese languages, including Cantonese and Hokkien.
