Clara joined DMI as Business Development Manager after three years in Pakistan. She holds an MSc in Forced Migration from the University of Oxford. Before joining DMI, Clara worked as Research and Development Manager for ACTED in Pakistan. In this role, she raised funds for establishing the organisation’s first Research and Development Department, and led large-scale programmes evaluating the impact of microfinance and nutrition programmes on women and poor households.
Clara's experience ranges from working on large scale hygiene promotion and WASH programmes for the Red Cross in the Philippines, to managing a three-year vocational training and economic development programme in rural Pakistan. She has successfully established a variety of public-private partnerships and has worked closely with governments, universities, microfinance institutions, solar energy companies, and technical and vocational training centres serving communities in rural areas.
