Demis Hassabis is the co-founder of artificial intelligence company DeepMind, as well as an accomplished games player, neuroscience researcher and former videogame developer. At age 13 he became the second highest ranking under-14 chess player in the world (after Judit Polgár). In his twenties he won the international Mind Sports Olympiad a record-breaking five times and cashed out in the main event of the World Series of Poker. In 2010 he founded DeepMind Technologies, with the mission to “solve intelligence, and then use intelligence to solve everything else”.
