Ellen McGeoch is a volunteer researcher for Rethink Charity where she leads the Annual EA Survey and the Local Group Survey. She is also a freelance researcher focusing on health care and evaluation of organizational effectiveness.

Ellen worked in higher education conducting institutional research for four years before shifting to health care research at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. She lends her research and operations expertise to various startups, consulting groups and nonprofits; most notably NeuroFlow and D-Prize.

She received her B.A. from the University of Maryland in 2010 and her M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. Her research interests include survey design, choice architecture, education and the translation of research to various audiences.
