Lance Johnson, Harvard College class of 2018, studies Neurobiology and Global Health. He began involvement with Harvard College Effective Altruism in 2014 and joined the Executive Board in 2016 as Financial Chair. Since 2017 Lance has served as President of HCEA, during which time he has focused on rapidly expanding the membership and financial resources of the organization to facilitate ambitious new initiatives and projects including the Harvard Giving Pledge, EAGx Boston, and expanded undergraduate Effective Altruism Fellowship that have been led by other members of HCEA and partner EA chapters. Lance's next major goals are to more concretely codify the organizational structure of HCEA and to develop resources to support emerging Effective Altruism chapters at other universities.
