Roxanne Heston is a member of the Community Development team at the Centre for Effective Altruism. She has been involved with the effective altruism community and the Centre since she was 17 years old, where she served as their youngest intern and staff member. She has since given multiple presentations on the topic at conferences around the country and globe.

She studied economics, mathematics, and finance at Tulane University, to which she received the full-tuition Paul Tulane Award. At Tulane she was a member of the international business Altman Scholar program, Omicron Delta Kappa honors society, and business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi.
